The Ultimate Fighter reunion show in the works
MMAMania is reporting that Spike TV is currently working on a retrospective look at the hit show, “The Ultimate Fighter.” Several of the show’s fighters are currently in Las Vegas shooting for the show now.
The Ultimate Fighter has been a launching pad for some of MMA’s biggest stars including Forrest Griffin, Diego Sanchez, Josh Koscheck, Kenny Florian, Michael Bisping and Joe Stevenson.
At the time of its debut, the company was in severe financial trouble. Zuffa, LLC financed the first season in order to get exposure for the struggling company, and the reality show did just that. The season one finale fight between Griffin and Stephan Bonnar is often referred to as the most important fight in the history of the UFC. The bloody brawl made the UFC a household name and the promotion has continued to grow since then.Source: MMA Mania
